Sometimes when I go out with my bestie, Neala, we walk around the same store for hours looking at everything.

We try different things on and LAUGH like it is the funniest thing in the world!

 

I'm thinking she should have bought this hat though, as I am pretty sure she can pull it off! 

These shoes however, well who in the world can actually wear them???  Yes, I was a few inches taller but OMGoodness my ankles were killing me in two minutes!

We were laughing so hard that my stomach hurt and I could barely walk!  (Although part of that was the shoes)

I just LOVE hanging out with my bestie!  And no, we weren't drinking although I am sure some of the people who saw us probably thought we were!

Regional swim meet 2013

The girls just took part in their very first Regional Swim Meet! 

It is a meet that you have to qualify for by being able to swim certain events within a time limit.

Katelyn qualified for nine events and swam eight of them because we weren't able to go on Friday night for the first day of the meet.

Maggie qualified for five events.

 

 

 This is Katelyn swimming her very first event which was the 50 butterfly and one of her favorite events.  It was a great way to start off the weekend!  She won her heat, took three seconds off her personal best time, and came in 6th place overall, which is AMAZING!

This is Maggie's first event which was the 25 butterfly and she ROCKED IT!  She took six seconds off her personal best time which is UNBELIEVABLE!  She won her heat as well and was the 2nd fastest 7 year old in the whole event!!! We were all extremely happy to see her start her weekend off on such a great swim! 

 

We were planning on going home Saturday night and driving back up Sunday morning but due to a snow storm we decided to stay in a hotel for the night.  We didn't want to risk not being able to make it back on Sunday or worse, getting in an accident.

Well, not surprising, the girls couldn't wait to get in the hotel pool!  They are half fish I'm telling you!

Both girls had A FANTASTIC weekend!

 

 

Maggie had Personal Best times in four out of four events and won three out of five of her heats!

The details:

Personal Best in 25 breast, back, and fly as well as 50 breast

She won her heats 25 breast, back, and fly!

 

Katelyn had Personal Best times in 7 out of 8 events and won 5 out of 8 of her heats!

The Details:

Personal Best times in her 50 fly, breast, free and back

Also her 100 IM, breast, and free

I can't remember for sure what heats she won but I know she won her 50 fly, back, 100 IM

I will have to ask her as I know she will remember!

I can't not-mention that she swam the 100 fly which is a very difficult event, she added less then half a second on her time but came in fourth overall!  And was in the last heat which means she is one of the fastest swimmers who swam it!!

 

We stopped on the way home for a quick lunch because we were all very hungry!  However the roads were terrible to drive on so we ate quick and got going before they got worse.

Maggie is a busy little girl!

She's not one that sits still for too long.

 

She never really has been ever since she learned to move on her own.

 

I wouldn't say that she's ADHD or anything like that but this girl's mind doesn't stop!  She's always thinking, playing, moving and talking.

I mean All.  The.  Time.

So when she feels like cuddling on the couch for a few with her mama I make sure to enjoy it because it won't last long!
