Katelyn turned 19!

Happy 19th birthday to my sweet Katelyn. We celebrated a few days early when you came home from college. It was wonderful meeting your very good friend Rennee. She seems like such a great person and having her here was so much fun. 

I’m so thankful that freshman year has been so great for you even though Covid19 really caused craziness!  It was hard not having you here on your birthday but knowing how wonderful your friends at school are I know you still had a very happy birthday!

College swim

Covid really made a mess of life!  One of the parts it caused chaos with was your freshman year of college swim. You had a short season and we did our best to watch you swim virtually. 

On a Thursday afternoon you called me to tell me you had just found out that you could have two fans at your meet on Saturday. Less then 24 hours later Nana and I hopped in the car and drove the long way to NY to watch you swim. 

It was so amazing!  It had been so long since I had seen you swim, over a year, so it felt like “coming home” to see you dive off the blocks. 

You ROCKED the meet!  Broke four team records and won all of your events. 

I can’t wait to watch you swim for the next few years!
