that face

The other day I was looking at my sweet Maggie and was brought back to a day almost three years ago.
It was this past Saturday and the kids had played outside ALL DAY enjoying the beautiful weather. They were FILTHY to put it mild. Which I don't mind at all. In my opinion a filthy kid is one that was having a lot of fun!

Look at that face! There had to be a pound of dirt on it...
And I was brought back to when she was just a bit older then Ben is now. She was already so independent and adventurous. We were at my friend Megan's house on a day very similar to Saturday.
I can't recall just what she was doing but I remember looking at her and just being so in love with her beauty and personality.
I wouldn't be telling the whole truth if I didn't tell you that I was also thinking about the fact that I didn't want to put her into her car seat in my van, but we won't dwell on that.
She is just so amazing and I can't get enough of her amazingness. Is that a word?

I love it when I am so instantly brought back to a memory from seeing, hearing, or smelling something.
(Side note: Every time I smell Oil-of-Olay I am brought back to my mom during my childhood! I love that smell!)
I also love that technology is so great that I can look back at pictures of that very moment and see it even more clear.
So, that's my story. I think I may have lead people to believe that it was a great story, one they couldn't miss, but I guess, for me, that is the case...
