Our favorite around here is definitely the animal shows that they put on a couple times a year. Last week was a "night creatures" animal show.
My sister and her children joined us which makes it even more fun. We got there early so that the kids could get good seats. They love sitting right up front although there really isn't a "bad" place to sit.
Steph and I took seats in the first row of chairs so we had the pleasure of seeing each of the animals very up close and personal. I personally could have done without being this close to this guy!
My brave nephew Dylan was able to go up to the front and hold this VERY LARGE SNAKE!
On the way out all of the kids were allowed to pet the snake. Maggie was waaaay to close to his mouth for my comfort!
I am glad that they had the opportunity to touch the HUGE SNAKE but I was happy staying far away!
I think I may have been holding my breath when they were so close and had a huge sigh of relief when we left that no one got hurt! Not that I think the library would allow an animal they thought was dangerous but seriously it was HUGE!
Stay tuned, we have a few more library adventures that I will surely blog about coming up this summer!
