Tid bits about Connor

This silly guy, making a silly face recently when we went out for dinner, is almost, like really close, to turning 8!

He is doing very well with everything except allowing me to take normal pictures of him.  The kid just can't take a normal picture.  I mean seriously, I don't think he knows how.  He either makes goofy faces on purpose or his eyes are shut or he looks away.

Connor is finishing up 2nd grade in just a couple of weeks and it really has been a good year for him.  His teacher was wonderful and always has such nice things to say about Connor.  He has a hard time with spelling but everything else seems to come fairly easy for him.
Connor recently went to his first wrestling tournament and had his first live matches.  It turns out that the tournament was geared to  more advanced wrestlers so Connor definitely was challenged.  He didn't win but Chris said he wrestled hard, never gave up, and showed great sportsmanship.  Chris, and Coach Joe were both very proud of Connor and said he did great!  I wish I could have been there but with all three big kids having sporting events that morning I wasn't able to make it.  Next time!

Connor is also playing baseball in the instructional level and does very well.  He has a nice swing and hits the ball pretty much every time he gets up to bat!  Now if we could just get him used to the fact that he has to wear a cup, and to stop fighting us on it, baseball would be just wonderful!
This picture, above, was taken at a restaurant with an app on my cell phone.  I love it!  I wish I could have a regular copy of it since it is rare I get one this great but as far as I can tell the app doesn't let you do that.
Connor recently received his first Holy Communion!  He did wonderful and I couldn't have been more proud of him.  Even when the priest asked him questions during mass Connor answered!  If you know Connor you know this is really big!
Love you Connor!!!!
