Auntie and Ben

My sister watched the kids the other day...

While she had them she used my camera to try and get a good picture with Ben...
I think they came out pretty cute!

Don't you???

I will tell you, Ben loves his auntie! When she walks into the house he just lights up and wants all of her attention.
They have a great time together!

stripes and feet

Ben got these jammies from his Auntie Neala for his birthday.

And, as you already know, I love stripes so he wears these on warm nights. Well, that and the fact that these are his only warm weather jammies.

But, the biggest reason is that I am OBSESSED with how ADORABLE his feet look peeking out the bottom of these!!!

Katelyn's new dress

The other day I went into a store to pick up a few t-shirts for Ben. While I was there I happened to see a dress I just knew that Katelyn would love and a shirt and pair of capri pants that I knew Maggie would like.
As soon as I showed Katelyn she ran into the bathroom and put it right on. She came out and I was just shocked...

Shocked at how grown up and beautiful she looked.

And thin, where did her baby fat go???

When Maggie saw the attention that Katelyn got she wanted to put her new outfit on too.

And, of course, she wanted some pictures of herself in her new outfit, which looks very cute on her!

Every once in a while I look at one of the kids and am just shocked of how they are growing up so quickly. It's almost like it happened over night, or when I blinked.
It happened on Easter with Ben and then on Friday with Katelyn.
My kids are growing up...
It's just going to fast for me.

Maggie sharing with Ben

While driving the van the other day Maggie said to me from the back seat...

"Mama, I gave Ben some scissors to play with, but don't worry cause I am keeping an eye on him...."

"OH NO! BEN CAN'T HAVE SCISSORS! TAKE THOSE AWAY RIGHT NOW!"

Luckily they were very much beginning type scissors and I am pretty sure they wouldn't be able to cut anything anyway!

Maggie

Maggie....

What are

you doing???

EEEWWW! You are a little too old to be eating "toe fries"!

Painting

Painting is so much fun! Old muffin tins make a great pallet.

The colors are so vibrant and when done at home you can even be in you jammies. Or in Maggie's case, you can be in your jammie pants.
This time we did a lot of color mixing and experimenting.

Here are some of our beautiful creations. I wish I would have written down just what Maggie painted. She told me stories for all of her pictures and just what they were.

Connor amazes me now with his attention span to painting and really working to create a piece of art.

We love painting around here!

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was such a nice day. The three older kids woke up way too early to find a note from the Easter Bunny. She, or he, hid some surprises that the kids had to find. It didn't take long before they found the hidden treasures and had everyone else in the house wide awake. Because, even though the note said to be quiet as a bunny, the excitement over took them!

We went downstairs to find that the bunny had also hidden lots of eggs to be hunted!

There was waaaaaaay to much candy in the eggs!

But a few of the eggs held sweet little chicks and stretchy reptiles. I just love this picture of Maggie gently holding her chick!

Ben didn't care too much at all about hunting for eggs but he did love the punching bag balloons that the kids got. Chris would blow it up and hand it to Ben. Then Ben would slowly let the air out. He thought it was so funny when it would blow right on his face and hair. Then he would push the deflated balloon back into Chris' hands to blow up again.

Early afternoon we headed to Nana and Pa's house for an egg hunt and a yummy dinner with Chris' cousins and their families!

Allison was awe-stuck everytime I went to take a picture of her, lol! Look at those beautiful curls!

Here is one of the very rare moments that Chris was able to sit and relax, mostly he was following a baby or watching kids at the frog pond.

It took a while but Ben finally found the eggs that Nana "hid" for him. They were in plain sight but Ben just didn't have a lot of interest for a while. He preferred to watch the dog.
He really liked the treasure he found and tried very hard to get it back into the egg...

Any guesses on what is in the bucket????

If you have read my blog since the beginning I bet you can guess. If not, it may be a little harder for you.

Tadpole eggs! My three older Monkeys are BIG TIME FROG HUNTERS! Today they didn't find any frogs but they did find the eggs that hold the future frogs they will find.

I just couldn't get over how big Ben looked in this outfit, and how adorable. As the matter of fact, he wore it to the farm the day before and I washed it so he could wear it again on Easter.

After lots of hard work Pa finally got a chance to sit and relax with Ben. Well, for a minute anyway!

What a great Easter spent in the beautiful sunshine with wonderful family!! I just wish I had taken more pictures!
