Soccer is done, for a while at least.

This past Saturday we all braved the cold to to watch Katelyn's soccer tournament.

Chris took Katelyn early for her first game and I brought the other kids in time for her second and third game.
I will admit that I was really bummed that I missed her scoring a goal in the first game. Chris sent me a text, "She scored" and I instantly got tears of complete pride for my girl.
She didn't score any more goals that day but she also didn't let the other team score when she played goalie!

After the tournament was over the coach handed out medals. Each child was brought into the spotlight and the rest of the team came up with reasons that child should receive a medal.
The big consensus for Katelyn was that she was a great team member always ready to play her best but most of all she was always encouraging her team mates.
I am so proud of Katelyn and her whole team. The were great sports and the epitome of what a U10 soccer team should be! They played great, worked great together, and had so much fun!
Part of me is sad that the season is over because it was just so great for all my kids but I will admit, the cold nights were starting to get to me!
This week.... The start of swim for all the monkeys and try-outs for the traveling spring soccer team...
