4th of July

The day didn't go quite as we had planned but we stayed positive and made the best out of it. In the end, it was a great day!
Chris got a flat tire in the truck so we got moving later then planned. Our plans were to go to a small water park. We went there last year on the 4th and it was perfect, we had the park basically to ourselves. As we were driving there we could see the thick black clouds, "let's hope they will pass...". Just as I was about to pay to get us into the park the manager walked over to inform us they were closing the park down because of the weather. We had three very disappointed children, Maggie was bawling.
What to do now?? The sky was clearing... Ben needed to eat so Chris brought us to Dairy Queen for a treat. We all had a blizzard (those weren't cheap!) and Ben ate. Then Chris had an idea to check out the Bedford pool. Yay! It was open, not busy, and looked like fun! It wasn't as great as the water park but the kids had a wonderful time...
